It is > being, urged that the Harbour Board, . which should procure, loan or other-' wise, and < as'■ soon as possible, '. a suitable suction dredge to/clear away the '•■ shingle that has accumulated 'at the ■ niouth'of the river.' . ;' The. Greymouth Licdcrtafcl, under the conciuctorship of Mr. Charles Staf. - fan, gave its third concert this week . in the Opera - House, and although the ■', night was wet and disagrecablCj there was- an _ oxcellent attendance. ''-' The choir's singing was a distinct improvement on that heard at the previous . concerts, and its general excellence was ■ freely admitted. "On the March," '(The Goslings," -'.: "Men of Harlech," : and "The Hunting Song" we're excellently: rendered by the' choir, and de-; : lighted the audience.- Miss Holder'.
