One pound flour, Jib. butter, 3 table-, tpooifuls of sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoonfir of baking powder, about 4 tableepoorifuls of, milk'.' • ; Rub-the' butter : into the flour, and add jtho'sugar and baking powder. Beat the eggs with the milk, and mix the dry ■ingredient's to a' father soft paste with this.' ■ Divide in half, roll out, put one'half on. a greased 'baking tin. Cover with apples • thinly 'sliced, and a little sugar, roll out the rest of.the paste And' cover. ' Pinch the edges, and bake •in 'a " moderate, oven... When . cooked cover with, icing sugar and put into fingers. FOR TO-MORROW. Two pounds steak. 2 sheep's kidneys. Jib. suet. Prunes'; . Rice. ' Parsnips..
