(By Telozraph.—Press'Association.) Auckland, August 19. Fred. James Symonds and' Wni. Scarboro wore charged at the Police Court to-day with breaking and entering the house, of Fred. Rogers, Auckland, and stealing jewellery valued at, £25. ■ A young prisoner: awaiting sentence informed the police that Symonds, who was in ■ Mount Eden Gaol on a charge of theft, had told him that he (Symonds) "had done a couple of cracks" with, Scarboro, and liad a quantity, of the stuff hidden. , The 'polico did not believe his story at'first, but later an employee of the ParkerLamb mill''informed them that he had found a quantity of jewellery.
