Colonel- R. J. Collins, Chief Exeoutivo Officer of the Dominion Rifle Association, has made arrangements whereby New Zealand niarksniecn intending' to take part in the rifle meetings' at Sydney and Melbourne in October next will be able to travel by the Union Company's or Huddart, Parker and Co.'s steamers ( at reduced fares. < As has been previously stated no representative team will be sent from New Zealand this year, although it is more than likely that a good number of New Zealand niarksmen may go over to try their luck. \
At yesterday's meeting of the. executive of the North Canterbury Farmers'. Union a resolution regarding London market quotations was discussed at length. Some of the speakers suggested that the quota-, tiohs were held back by some party interested in the market, and it was decided to write to the Department of Agriculture and ask for weekly quotations of all New Zealand produce.—Press Association.
