, '' . 0 -— . TRAMWAYS AND STREETS. , Last evening a well-attended mooting of the Eoscneath Eatepayers' Association was held, tho president (Mr. H. N. Liardet) in the chair. Several letters were received from the City Council. V A letter referring to the tramway connection stated that the engineer had been instructed to prepare a report on tho question. Asphalting the footpaths and the gHavelliug ot Grass Street were also" discussed. , A letter was. authorised to be sent to the City Council pointing out that no provision had. been made in the estimates for footpaths, and requesting that the council would put aside'a sum for that putposu. The attention of the City Council is to be called to the clearing of' tho channels in, Oriental Terrace. Correspondence was also received from tho City Council notifying that tho word Roseneath would be put on tho destination, boards of the Oriental Bay 'cars;
