THEATRE'EOYAL. Fino.weather nnd nn attractive new bill drew n largo attendance .to the 'i'hentre' Royal last evening. Miss Benttie M'Donald is a clever sorio with excellent command of ii tunelnl voice, and she wus enthusiastically applauded. The Royal Sisters are a couple of tiny performers who sing with spirit and zest, and in tlji.tiimbling performance with which their item concluded, they showed a skill that might well be envied by older acrobats. Miss M'Donuld made a great hit with her song, "Only a Penny. Sir," an nppeal on behalf of the Children's Hospital fund.'. Miss Blanche Carolli scored a deserved success by her brilliant rendering of "Espanita," Mr. Garden Wilson nnd Miss Pearl Hellinrioh Were responsible for a bright little comedy sketch. Miss Fanny Halle performs wonderful . feats of balancing on ladders, and other unstable supports, bearing a lighted lamp on her head the while. In burlosquo of the uproarious order, Harry*Sadler is n postmaster, and he was several times recalled. The Gibson Girls are a distinct acquisition on the boards of the Theatre HoyallPrettily garbed and with melodious voices, their song and dance items deserved an even more favourable reception than was accorded them. The four Valdares, a quartet that includes Valdare and Varno, already well known.to Theatre Royal habitues, put up a brilliantly clover display in their trick-cycling performance. The male members of the quartet in particular show, a remarkable degree of skill, but the ladies of the party are. little behind them in dexterity and greatly excel them in grace.
