PAINFUL ACCIDENT.
'.(By Telegraph—Press Association.) : Dunedln, August 12. ; ■A man named Samuel Sneddon, agei. 62 years, engaged as a labourer on the Mosgiel railway duplication works, was the victim of a severe accident this morning. Hβ was working with a gang of men on an embankment at Green Island emptying trucks of clay..\ As , the loaded trucks,were running Sneddon at-" tempted to board one by stepping on to the iron bar which runs along the bottom of the truck..-' His foot slipped, and the wheel went over it,' badly crushing it. The , foot was subsequently ampμtatcd at the hospital. Sneddon lives at Stf. Kilda. V .:>:,.
