August. 10,' 10 p.m.) London, August 10. - Washington reports state that the Government crop reports show that fair average harvests are assured. The crop calamity, previously prophesied proves to be but "the remotest possibility. Winter wheat is likely to approach the record of 1906, but the spring. wheat is. considerably below that of 1909. /'The ' Times,"' in dealing with ' the state of, the British crops, says that, owing to' the cool moist summer experienced, fine' weather, is required to coriipletd the harvest.' Hops are threatened, and potatoes are becoming increasingly affected with disease. Hay has been injured in many cases, but the season is likely ito "be fair. The .final result, however, still bangs in the balance. "The. Times" estimates the condition of wheat at 93; barley at 93; and oats at 92.96.;. '. -.. .'■' .•
