The, salary attached to the position of Adjutant and Quarter-master-General is, according to this year's Estimates, .£125 per annum. . Captain Seddon's pay as staff officer last ytar was i'2SO, raised to ,£330 under this year's Estimates. . Lieutenant-Colonel Chaytor has recently been offered Ihe Wellington dis-' trict command during the period • of Lieutenant Bauchop's absence in England, but it is an open secret that the offer has been declined by him. Possibly a question in. Parliament would throw some light on the subject.
