'■ The Newcastle strike leaders, Brennan and Gray, were released yester. day, in order to prevent a demonstration which had.been arranged. They are to be banqueted to-night, and will attend a big welcome meeting at Newcastlo next Monday. BURNS AND LEWIS RELEASED. (Rec. August 10, 0.15 a.m.) Sydney, August 9. Burns' and Lewis, Newcastle strike leaders, wero released from , Goulburn Gaol some hours before.the fixed time, in order to prevent a demonstration.
