INDETERMINATE SENTENCES.
ANTICIPATED BY GOVERNMENT. , An interesting , ., statement was mad*, by Dr. Fiudlay in the Legislative Council yesterday to the effect that in special instances the Government .had anticipated.the indeterminate sentence principle by remitting very large portions of sentences- in some eases where tho offence seemed to be sufficiently punished and whore the offender was fit for freedom. . .
