CHARGES AGAINST A LAWYER.
I'ALL TO THE GEOUND. (Hf ToleKrapti.—BDccial CorresDondenU Auckland, August. 8. The charges brought by private prosecution at the instance of Charles Henry. Grcenhead against Ediuond Mnhonoy, a well-known Auckland ■ solicitor, were finally disposed of by Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., in the Police Court to-dny. The informant alleged '. that Mr. Malioney had committed forgery by uttering false documents as if they were gen- , nine. Both parties, conducted .their <own case. After hearing prosecutor's evidence the Magistrate said that he had not the slightest hesitation in dismissing tho case without calling on the defence. It was difficult to say whether informant's persistency was duo to the whole thing having upsot his mental bnlanco. or to extract mmiey from the other side. The letter produced in a previous cafe, said his Worship, rather tended to show that the latter was the object. .
