Auckland, August.s. ' Mr. Burgess, S.M., gave judgment at laeroa in the case in which Albert H. Burclier and Mrs. • Burclier sued Ales. Mackay and J. Culpan for dissolution of ' partnership in connection with'the''Joseph Chamberlain claim at Owhaioa. Mrs. Burclier'. also' asked for the. return' of-'£62'. 10s., for which she purchased a share in the claim, alleging that Mackay induced her to do so by misrepresentation. Mr. Burgess saidhe had no jurisdiction to hear the latter claim, . as. the ..illegal' representation* i ' wero made in Auckland. He made an • I order, for a dissolution of partnership and the taking of accounts between ftic parties. The-magistrate also said the conduct of Mackay-in circulating a report about the claim, which he knew to be grossly untrue,' was most reprehensible.
