The Honse of ■ Representatives has added a'clause to the Arbitration Act Amendment Bill which removes the existing restriction on the application of the funds of trades .unions for political purposes. • The preference clause has also been amended, by making it optional, instead of mandatory, for the judge of the Court to order preference to unionists. '
