Although tho Spanish Ambassador to the Vatican has been withdrawn, tho Papal Nuncio at Madrid has not, however, been recalled. The authorities say they will not permit a great Roman Catholic demonstration at San Sebastian on Sunday next, a demonstration in which, it was expected, 70,000 persons would take part. Tho organisers insist that the demonstration shall bo hold. Tho Roman Catholic agitation is spreading to other parts of the country. Tho King and; Queen of Spain are in London on a private visit. Many criticisms havo been passed in Madrid on King Alfonso's conduct in leaving Spain during the present crisis.
