A man named Arthur Lloyd has been committed for trial on a charge of tho manslaughter of his son, aged five'years, who died from diphtheria. The evidence given at the inquest showed that tho father, who believed in faith-healing,, had refused to allow doctors' treatment, although he knew his son was suffering from diphtheria. Ho relied on prayer.
