Joliiistbii, liead mis-' tress of Korokoro- School,' intimated to tho board that she had replaced the original pupil sent to the Technical School from liorokpro, -as tho pupil in question did not" desire to. continue. The.final/mecting.of tho Petono West School .Bazaar Committee- hold last evening. Mr. Burridgc,'.;who occupied the chair, thanked the workers for tbo excellent, support given by them. He took the opportunity of congratulating Mr. Bcdingfield, bazaar secretary, on tho excellent work which he '.had. done. He moved that a. hearty 'vote of.thanks bo accorded' him. Mr. Castle (chairman of tho School Com'-mittee)-aIBO thunked the workers on bu-half'-of his committee. The secretary presentedi a balance-sheet, which showed a credit balanoe-of .£lB Bs., net proceeds from the bazaar. • * .'•.'' V The annual prizo distribution in connection with Petono St; Augustine's Sunday School took place in the Oddfellows' Hall last night. An excellent programmo was submitted, thoso contributing boing Misses Kibblewhito and Hill, Messrs. Grenfield and Gray. Action songs and dialogues by Iho school children wore given, and also a minuet by members of the recent pageant, and an item by. the Boy Scouts. The 'Rev'.- J. D. Eussell, on behalf of the Sunday School, presented tho retiring superintendent, Mr. B. (J. House, with a handsome silver salad bowl. Miss Mockoridge was mado tho recipient of a silver-mounted brush from the scholars, and a silver candlestick from her 'follow teachers, in recognition of her past services, and in view of her approaching marriage Numerous prizes were awarded the scholars;
