The Education Board last* .night passed a resolution moved by the chairman instructing the Chief inspector to report on tho feasibility of exchanging the teaching staffs of the District High and Queen's Park Schools, transferring',the secondary department, of-the former-to the latter, making Queen's Park the High School, and closing the Guyton Street Infant School; and {transferring it to-the present District High' School. The effect oa the children would'he. almost nil, onlj the secondary sckolnrs-.being' shifted. ' Tho resolution' is considered to be o counterblast by the'.board to an agitation for the admission 'of infants'to tho District High School.'. Tho chairman, a -in moving it, said that.there had been, somuch talk of the large,amount of room available* at that school that it would be, a pity not to utilise it,-, and his gropoei) ' would effect that without penalising anj! teacher in the way of salary; . ■■>,'■
