Mr. Robert Loraine, the actor . and aeroplanist, on leaving the 'Blackpool aviation meeting, acroplancd over Liverpool, about thirty miles distant, and returned via New Brighton, on the western bank of the Mersey. .Hundreds' of'thousands of holiday-makers witnessed the flight. ■ ■ .. Mr. Grahamo White similarly flew from Blackpool to Southport and back, a total distance of about thirty miles. LADY AEROPLANIST FALLS. ■
London, August I. Madame Franck was aeroplaning on the Boldon' racecourse, near Sunderland, in the presence of thousands, when her bi-plane struck a flagpost and fell to the ground. ■ ■ A boy was killed, and a number of other parsons ia the crowd slightly hurt. Madame Franck- herself was also> injured. -
