TIMBER TRAIN SMASH.
ACCIDENT IN WEST AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. Perth, August 2. Owing to a washaway on the Karridalo line a timber train was derailed and the engine precipitated over an embankment. A fuel truck was smashed, and the empty trucks piled one on top of the other. The guard, John Starratt, was killed, but the driver and fireman escaped uninjured.
