Ratepayers of the city of Wellington will to-dav decide at the ballot-box whether or not the corporation will borrow the sum of .£IOO,OOO for the purpose of duplicating tho Wainui water main. The expenditure is classified as follows:— Duplication of the main from the Wainui reservoir to the. city, provision of a distributing reservoir, and tho construction of bridges over the Wainui-o-mata ' . . Extension of the reticulation of the city and the diversion of the existing main to new Hutt River bridges—£2o,ooo. The ratepayers' roll has been revised and reprinted, and now contains over 10,000 names. The polling places, which will be open from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m., are as follow: — Churchroom, Northland.
