With respect to the recent application of the Colliery Employees' Federation for the dissolution of tho Northern Collieries' Wages Board (the -application, which was dismissed, admittedly had fpr its object the getting rid of. Mr. Pater* son, tho employees' representative on the Board) Mr. Paterson declares that ho has not tho slightest intontion of resigning from the board. He says: "I am going to open tho eyes of tho men in tho south and west, and show them .how they were sold over in tho latest:'strike." The Federation, he says, will have to answer at law for tho statements made against him.
