SYNDICATE'S GENEROUS ACT. A SPLENDID DONATION. . (Prom Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, Aug. 1. The members of the syndicate which!bought the Sol way Estate (Messrs. W. Perry, C. F. Vallauce, E, Gray, J.- ' Strang, and Q. Donald) have addressed the following letter to the Masterton. A; and P. Association:—"Enclosed please , , find the Sohvay Syndicate's cheque for ' ■ d£3l7 10s., representing the increased price obtained for the fifteen odd acres fronting the Carterton Ko.id, on which the saleyards are to be erected. I also enclose a further cheque for .£llß3 Is. '. 9d., being the total amount-of the profit .-? accruing to the syndicate to date. These .' • sections are worth the money, and when disposed of it is tho syndicate's intention to baud the money over to the association.
