NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Welington Garrison Non-Commissioued Officers' Club was held on Friday, about 35 members being present. The report'and balance-sheet presented showed . that the club Has.been, a very live institution during . the past' year. Although only in its second year, the club has been instrumental in. furnishing its rooms throughout, including a billiard table and piano. This has been accomplished by the. issuing of debentures, and by the whole-hearted support of the'members. The-membership now numbers 110, as against 92 last year. This was considered fairly satisfactory, but, with the new Territorial regulations about to come into .force,-the membership this year should'.be considerably increased. Several social functions and lectures have been held during the year, arid all proved really enjoyable." The club's annual "at homo" will' take place in ■ the club-rooms on Wednesday next, at 8 p.m. It will take the form of a euchre party and dance. Arrangements are well inland for the equipping of the. club's library. Votes of thanks were passed to the various committees for their energy, and also to the press. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Patron, Colonel Bauchop; president, ColourSergeant Davics .(City Rifles); vicepresidents, Q.-M.-S. Gibson (D Battery) and Colour-Sergeant Bould (Guards) ; hou. i secretary, Sergeant Smyth (Zealandia); hon. treasurer Sergeant Hugo fZenlnndia); committee, Sergeant-Major Dement (Herctaunga), Colour-Sergeant Colo (Kolburno), Sergeants Nelson (D Battery), Coleman (No. 3, G.A.V.), Baker (Garrison Band), Cimino (Collego), Scott (Cycle Corps), Dobson (Highlanders'); hon. auditors, ColourSergeant Frandio (Zealau'dia) and Sergeant Cowles (College Rifles).
