VICTORIA COLLEGE LIBRARY.

Sir,—Referring to tho discussion between Mr. Wilson and the professors regarding "the college library supplies, one is rather surprised to seo that-they are obtained through a London firm, and it would bo interesting to know, why the local' firms do not get the business. I understand that the Parliamentary and Public Libraries aro supplied by local houses,- and it seems a strango thing that the Victoria College Library Committee should find it necessary to go outside the Dominion. .■ Perhaps the chairman will kindly give us the reason? We hear a great ! deal nowadays about local preference, and it appears to me that this a "case in which it could bo justly carried out.—Yours, etc., PTJZZLED.
