PIPE BAND AND DANCERS' CLUB.
Tho Wellington Pipe Band and Dancers' Club, hold their social on Wednesday evening at tho Victoria Hall, Newtown, where a most ciijoyable'eveiiing was spent by about 90 members and friends. A pleasant feature of the evening was the rendering of vocal items by Pipe-Scygeant J. Simpson, Drum-Ser-geant W. R. Potter, and Drummer R. Church, and Highland' dancing by Misses F. Shaw and-E. Reid, Drummer W. E. Boyd and Pipe-Major A. S. Frost, and Master F. Reid, and the rendering of "Auld Lang Syne" by the company brought the programme to a ciose. Messrs. W. E. Boyd and A. S. Frost proved efficient M.C.'s. A seriesof these social evenings have been arranged by the committee at suitable intervals.. Members and friends will he notified in due course by the secretary.
