The Wanganui firm of H. 1,. Jones and Son, Ltd., liooksellors, stationers, and printers, has reached its jubilee. In commemoration of l.he evont a boautifullyprinted and admirably illustrated brochure has been published, in which appears ■ a chatty history ef the now widely-known firm, rehearsing tho chief incidents and changes which have marked its progress during the past fifty years. The brochure shows portraits of the late Mr. Henry Ireson Jones, tho founder of the business/ Messrs. Lloyd Jones, I?. I. Jones, directors, Mr. W. A. l'awson, manager of tho wholesale department, and contains a series of photographs of tho firm's promises, which range from a littlo old world shop on Taupo Quay to tho present handsome shop arid warehouse in Victoria Avenue. Wanganui' is also pictured under different elates,, which givw the booklet iidditional value.
