The "Morning Post" (Unionist) appeals for facilities for an Empire Migration discussion at the Imperial Conference. At "a conference in London a few week's ago, it was stated that inquiries sent out to the various emigration societies, asking for a summary-of the results.of their operations during the last three years had elicited replies showing that the organisations named have sent out emigrants as follows:— . Persons. British Women's Emigration Asen. 4,026 Central Emigration Board C9l Charity Organisation Society 4,857 Church Army 1(50 Church Emigration Society 1,407 Colonial Nursing Association 521 Dr. Barnardo's Homes 3,128 East End Emigration Fund 7,631 Kent Colonising Association 3GO Manchester and Salford Kefuges... 133 Public Schools League 50 Salvation Army 23,000 Self-Help Emigration Society SS4 South African Colonisation Society 3,850 Central Unemployed Body (London) 9,000 Total 60,066 The only organisation receiving aid from public funds was the Central Unemployed Body of London.
