The well-known English aviator, Mr. Grahame White, prophesies that in sis months' time aeroplanes will travel at a speed of a hundred miles an hour, and ultimately, .with the development of engines, at 300 miles an hour. Mr. Rudyard Kipling has suggested that airmen should wear air-cushion armour, including a helmet of rubber to be inflated over tho head and collar-bones, with an. especially adequate protection for the spinal cord.
