Younger, Unionist member for Ayr Uurghs, inquired as to the desirability of fortifying the Gulf of Paris (lying between Trinidad and Venezuela), in view of tho discoveries of petroleum in Trinidad, and the importance of the island after the Panama Canal has been completed.

Colonel, Seely, Under-Secretary for Hie Colonies, replied that the matter was receiving consideration.
