Mr. S. .Wood, instructor of wool classes at the Jfostertou 'Technical School, has joined Mr. J. E. Lanauze, of Napier, in business.
' At a meeting last evening of the Stonehcngo Lodge of Druids; nt which Bro. A. 0. Levien presided, one candidato was initiated and two proposed for membership; A memorial board "was presented to tho lodge by Bro. Davey, for which the donor was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. An illuminated address was presented to Bro. T. B. -Michell, T.D.r., in recognition of his Services to the lodge as senior trustee, delegate! and treasurer. The AVairarapa Sawmillers' Association has decided to increase the price of all lines of timber by sixpence per hundred feet as. from August 1. The 'Wairarapa Egg Circle yesterday dispatched 284 dozen eggs to Wellington. Miss Hall gave an illustrated lecture in the Town Hall to-night before a largo audience on her trek from Capo Town to Cairo.
