The Wellington Education, Board has decided, not without considerable difference of opinion, to be represented at the Conference of Education Boards which has been arranged, ■ on the initiative of the Wanganui Board, to be held in Wellington next month. Several of the members agreed that as the Government was arranging for such a conference to be held later', whatever resolutions woro placed on record by tho first conference would bo futile, as the Minister for Education would simply state that the official conference would have the same matters under consideration. Another objection raised was that the board had not had time to thoroughly consider its policy with regard to the various, items on the agenda paper; nor had there been time to frame suggestions for tho conferonce. However, the majority ruled. Tho use of the Wellington Board Room has been granted for the conference.' Messrs. Dalgety and - C 0.,.
