Wanganui, July 20. A Native deputation, headed by W.~ \V. ; Hipango, waited on tlio Borough Council last night, regarding the gift of the l'atukutuku land, on the Wanganui Tiivoiy'as a public domain,, and asked that the council .should execute a deed hf gift without delay, and send surveyors up to have the 30 acres laid off. Tho Mayor, on behalf of the public, accepted the gift, and promised to see that it was properly , administered. The council agreed to, have the necessary steps for transfer taken at once, and, out of compliment to tho donor, decided to call the land Hipango Park.
