AN EARLY DAIRYING SEASON.
NEW-SUPPLIES THREE WEEKS ... ... , - HENCE. '. , , . : It' was evident some time ago that unless, the Dominion'experienced some very bad' weather late in the winter thero\ would be a very early dairying season this year'.; Up. till the present ■the winter has been very mild, there is abundant feed,, and everything is ■ in favour' of: an early start being made on-the dairy farms..,.. It is expected by some exporters that the new season's make will start to comby.to hand in three week's from now.. An authority told a Dominion representative yesterday that there would be" a good percentage of cowa corning in next month and that he was reckoning on a. very.early season. If there was a' plentiful supply of feed' there would be a plentiful quantity of butter very early There is undoubtedly plenty of feed. So good, have the pastures been ; throughput the winter tiiat. some farmers have not used off tho little winter fodder they provided. The mildness of tho season, too, has enabled tho cows to come through in'fine condition, and they should enter on tho'now year of dairying with every chance of yielding heavily. " ' - . The only thing which can upset calculations is a run- of exceptionally bad weather in the noirt fow weeks.
