• (From Our Special Correspondent.) - « ' - A half-holiday was observed at the Pctono Workshops yesterday afternoon as a mark of respect to tho memory of the- late Mr. George Applegarth. At the usual meeting of the Petone branch of tho Church of England Men's. Society,' over which Mr. J. Baxter presided, details of the forthcoming mission wore discussed, and local work in- connection with, the'parish was also traversed. There was an excellent attendance.
