. INTERESTING RETURN. A return showing the number, of members of ' each industrial unioii, which i has just been printed, • contains some interesting figures. In all there are 120 unions of employers, containing in the aggregate 3699 members. Twenty-seven, of the unions, comprising (ill members, ar<s located in the Wellington district. Of workers' unions there are in all 308, comprising in tho aggregate 54,519 members. Within tho ranks of tho seventy-four unions in tho Wellington district are; 20,582 .members. : The largest union' of cm-' plovers in tho Dominion is the Canterbury Sheepowners' Union, which comprises. 508 mornliers, whilst the biggest union, of workers is tho ' Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants of New Zealand, which has 34 brandies, having in all 6419 members.
