MAORI ENTERTAINMENTS.
Great interest is being aroused in the announcement of the Maori concerts, to be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. Tho programme will consist of "all Maori talent," the like of which is seldom shown to an audience in NewZealand. A large party of Maoris will come from Rotorua, under the leadership of the Rev. Fred. Bennett, and will include tho well-known Maori nialo quartet. A war party of 22 from R-oto-raa will appear, and the group of West Coast Natives under the Hon. A. T. Ngata will give.hakas. The thrilling spear dances and tho fierce war dances will give his recitation, "Scenes from one of the three evenings, Mr. Ngata wil lgive his recitation, "Scenes from the Past," in character, with a war party_ assisting. The famous guide Maggio will guide by moving pictures to famous scenic resorts. The patrouago of his Excellency the Governor, with a number of members of the Ministry, and the Chief Justice, etc., has been assured. Popular juices are being charged, and the box plan for tho three nights is open at tlm Dresden.
