EMPLOYERS' LIABILITY FOR MURDER. Bi Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. July 22, 11.5 p.m.) London, July 22. The Court of Appeal has upheld tho . County Court's decision that the killing of Nesbot was an accident within the meaning of the Compensation Act. Mr. Nesbit, a colliery cashier, was shot in a Newcastle train while carrying the wages for the factory hands, for 'which offence Alex. Dickman, ex-colliery secretary, has been convicted. The widow, Mrs. Nesbit, claimed ,£3OO compensation from the cempany employing her. husband, and the County Court awarde'd her ,£3OO compensation, holding that in the circumstances the death was within the Workmen's Compensation Act, as the murder was romir.itted during decease J'? employment.
