FEILDING NOTES.
A sharp shock of earthquake was felt here at 32.30 a.m. oil Tuesday. The recent heavy rnius have caused a wash-out, autl a bad slip ou the Jlarton Block Koad, out Apiti way, stopping vehicle traffic. On the eve of the break-up of the annual training camp held this year at Kiwitca, the l'eilding Mounted Kiflcs hold a very successful sports meeting. Trophies were presented by members and friends, and . a good programme was gat off in good style. At n public meeting held in the Primitive Jlethodist Church, Halconibe, in connection with the No-License (fucstion, the following resolution was carried 011 the motion of the Itev. 10. Walker: "That this meeting heartily supports the platform laid down by the recent Dominion No-License Convention held ill Wellington, and earnestly appeals to the Government and Parliament to enact legislation on the lines of the democratic and just demands of that platform."-
