ISOLATION.

CONSUMPTIVE PATIENTS. Important items on the order, paper of the Hospital Board at its meeting yesterday were the following motions:— (1) "That the medical superintendent report upon the need or otherwise of effective. measures for the isolation of all cases of consumption (pulmonary) in the community." (2) "That the medical' superintendent report next meeting as to the advisability , of removing the Seddon Shelters from Wellington grounds to the Otaki Sanatorium grounds." At the invitation of the chairman, the Medical Superintendent at the Hospital (Dr. Hardwicbe Smith)'made a statement bearing on \ the subject. . The In-spector-General (Dr. Valintine) had, - he said, prepared a scheme.which would be ' brought down shortly, and which the speaker was certain wou'a prove thoroughly acceptable to the board when it" came forward. He would therefore ask that the motions be held over until nest meeting. The board resolved accordingly.
