The forty-third anniversary of the Court Sir George Bowen, Ancient Order of Foresters, was celebrated with a smoke concert at Murdoch's rooms, Cii?>a Street, last night. Btx>. W. A. Wood, C.li,, presided over an attendance of about 40. The toast-list comprised"The King," "The District," "Court Sir George Bowen," "Kindred Societies," "The Ladies," and "The Press." Among the speakers were:—Brui. A. W. 0. Travers (secretary), Webber, P.D.C.R. (secretary of Court Robin Hood), Aisiabie, Harland, Joss'o|i, and Chapman. Bro. Shapcott, in his made feling reference to t)ie death, of Bro.' Whiteford. who had held the position of district. secretary for a great many years. ' During the evening songs were rendered bv Bros. Aisiabie, Worth, Webber, Dennis,- Bowie, L. 0. Travers, Mr. Burrow, and others. The function was successfully carried through, and proved a thoroughly enjoyable occasion.
