THE ROBERTS TROPHY MATCH.

NEW ZEALAND TEAM. In connection with the 1910 competition for the Lord -Roberts trophy, an Imperial schoolboys' rifle match, the following team has been selected to represent New Zealand:— J. C. Williamson, J. V. Cauty, H. N. Freetli, and D. Mackersey, of Wellington - College. . Corporal Combs and Private Wiley, 01 King's College, Auckland. •K. G. Park and S. T. Macdougal, of Otago Boys' High School. Lieutenant Richards and H". Thompson, of Eangiora Boys' High School. Williamson, Combs, and Macdougal represented New Zealand in the match last year. The above team are to get into training at once, and .will assemble in Wellington and report to the officer commanding the district (l/ieut.-Colonel Bauchop) on Tues- . day, August 23. The time intervening between then and the day of the competition (Friday, August 26) is to be spent ' in practice at Polhill Gully- On the form shown during the practices, the fined selection of the eight marksmen who are to compete will be made. . The match is •'a seven-shot contest at and 500 yards, and will be fired under ! tho supervision of Major Mathieson (Wellington Coiiege Cadets) and Major Cresswell (Eangiora Boys' Hign School).
