The contractors for the Canadian Grand Trunk Pacific : Railway have intimated that it is impossible to finish tho mountain section of' the line in reasonable time without additional labour. The Government contemplates allowing the entry into Canada of workmen of any nationality who are accustomed to such work. The contractors offer two and a quarter to three dollars (9s. to 125.) per flay, but they have only been able to obtain 1600 men, instead' of the 5000 they require.
