When the Suyonara Cup was sailed in March last, 'Ae Victorian yachtsmen refused to fallow a full time allowance to the boat Culwalla 111, which was small at than the Sayonara. The three races were sailed on tHe under-standing,-that an appeal on the question should Wmade to .the British Yachting Association. A viable has now been received stati-yyg that the Association had decide/} that the Sayonara should have allowed the Culwalla 35 seconds per m%, •"On this allowance, the Culwalla has won two out of tho throo races, and has ■therefore won the Cup. Tho. Sayonara, though only rated at 11.42 metres, is in the 12-metre3 class, while the Culwalla 111 is in the 10metres class. Tho first of the three races for the Sayonara Cup was sailed at Melbourne on March 11, Sayonara (defender) defeating Culwalla by Bmm., over a triangular course of seven miles each way. The third race was won by Sayonara also by 13min.
