Mr. and Mrs. James Ewart came down from Masterton last' night to spend a few days in Wellington.' Miss Wolters and Miss Booth, from Carterton, are visiting Wellington. Mrs. J. Abbott gave a party at the rink last night. . Miss ,T. Wyinks is visiting her aunt, Mrs. C. W. Adams, Bellevue Road, Hutt. Mr. Rayward, president of the Wellington Arts Clvb, and Mrs. Rayward aro giving an "At .■ Home" at the Club on Saturday afternoon. The Victoria • College students intend holding their annual ball in the Town Hall on Thursday, August i. ■ Last season ' the students' ball was very popular •and it is rumoured that this year they are endeavouring to make it even more successful.
