One pound apples, i lb. breadcrumbs, Sozs. butter, 3ozs. sugar, lemon, a little milk'. Butter' a piedish, peel and slice the apples fine, and place alternate layers of breadcrumbs, sugar etc., in the dish, adding a little lemon juice. Dover the top with breadcrumbs mixed with a little melted butter; bake in a slow oven one hour, turn out, and serve with sifted ' sugar. FOR TO-MORROW. ; :Neck of mutton. Carrots. Turnips.
