Bullock,' of Ashburfcon, arrived in London by the Rimutaka, and left last week for the West cf England to visit friends. Later, they go, to Scotland, Ireland, and the Continent. Mr. Justice Denniston, of • Christ-. churcn n who is on a visit to England, appeared last week as a witness before the Royal Commission on Divorce, and gave his views regarding the divorce system in New Zealand. Mr. Jack, of Whangarei, left London last week to revisit Ireland after an absence of 30 years. E.\ Foot, of tie Government Insurance Department, Wellington, who came to England some weeks ago, has recently joined the staff of tho New Zealand Pavilion at the White City, and will return to the Dominion upon tho closing of the Japan-British ExhibiLion. . I Mr. George Gibson, of Brettanbv, Darlmgton, u about to quit his farm with a view of taking up farming in New Zealand. 'Mr. Gitson has not only taken an active part in the public affairs of his own district, but has also made hmself well known and universally respected by his unwearying efforts w> bring home to agriculturists in all parts or the north-eastern counties the importance of closer organisation. Mr. S £¥ 8 been on the executive of the Darlmgton , Chamber of Agriculture and 6f the Darlington Farmers' Protection Association. In the latter body he was one of the leading spirits and he has done a considerable amount or spade-work" for the F.P.A., addressing meetings of farmers at Darimgtpn, Stokesley, Bishop. Alfred H.Elkin, of Auckland has beon on a cycling tour through the southern counties, and has spent two months in Brighton. He proposes visiting Oxford and Scotland, and leaves for New York at tho end of June or early in July. From Vancouver he will sail for New Zealand. . Mr. L. Fraser, of Waianowai, Southland, who came to England by the qtway, left for Scotland last week to visit relatives at Milnegavie, Glasgow. Thence ho, goes to Inverness, returning to Aberdeen and Edinbuigh, and visi£ ing the North of Ireland beroro re•turning to New Zealand by the Osterley on August 5. Miss F. Hall-Jones, the Hon. C Louisson, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Moore j Sir Walter Kennaway, Dr. Levinge' Misses M'Kay, Hon. •C. N. Butler' Misses Van Staveren, and Miss M. Le C. Michie were among the visitors to the New Zealand . Pavilion at ' the Japan-British Exhibition last week. Mr. John Stone, of Messrs. Stone and Sou, Dunedin, is in London on a health trip, accompanied by Mrs. Stone. They intend to spend about a month in London, and then visit tho Continent and Scotland, returning, after a three or four months' stay, by. the direct route to the Dominion. Mr. Stone's health is already much improved by fee sea voyage.
