(By Telegraph—Press Association.! -Dunedin, July 15. .Charges arising out of last Saturday flight's disturbance came before Mr. Bartholomew, S.M., in the City Police , Court to-day. The/first case called on was that against Charles Graham, . who was ihargedwith assaulting Sergeant Eccles find Constable Sweeney, and also with assaulting.Constable'Fox. Sub-Inspector Phair stated that he did not propose to call any .evidence. After going into the history of the disturbance, fie said that the constables, DD thinking the matter over afterwards, had some doubt in their minds as to whether they had really arrested the right man, and, consequently, they did not feel justified in going further with the matter. The chbrges against Graham were accordingly withdrawn, the magistrate remarking that he had been the victim of circumstances.- ■ ■ ' John Wilson, however, was convicted' on charges of drunkenness, using obscene language, and resisting Coustablo Sweeney. David Wilson was charged with obstructing Constable Sweeney while ,in the execution of his duty, with using obscene language, with assaulting Constable Sweeney, and with resisting Sergeant Eccles. John Wilson was fined 55., or twentyfour hours' imprisonment, for drunkenness, sentenced to one' month's imprisonment for obscene language, and to two months for resisting the police, the sentences to be concurrent. David Wilson was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for obscene language, and to two months on each of the other charges, tho sentences to bo concurrent. ■ 'v . ter &ae Spence was charged with inciting people to assault the police and with being guilty of disorderly I behavioui.
