———§ DISTRICT ORDERS. District orders by Lieutenant-Colonel A. Baucliop, C.M.G., oommnnding the Wellington district, include the following announcements-.— Non-commissioned officers' certificates for the rank of corporal have been granted to E. S. AVood (D Battery, AVellington), and A. Picken (East Coast Mounted Rifles). The appointment's of honorary actinglieutenants to Messrs. W. A. G. Penlington and F. G. AA'ilkes, Gisborne High School Cadets, liave been approved. The following memorandum lias been received from the Chief of tho General Staff for publication-.— "I desire to express my appreciation oj- Hie military arrangements oil tho occasion of the arrival of his Excellency tho Governor on AVednesday, Juno 22," and shall be glad if you will so advise the officers and men cMicerned.—J. G. AVard, Prime Minister." At all times it is neccssary to hold boards of inquiry on members of tho i'ei'.iitorial Force who are maimed or injured while on duty. All officers comnjanding will in future, see that the provisions of General Regulation 103 must be strictly carried out, and a board assembled as soon as possible after tho occurrence to investigate the circumstances of the case. A monibor of tho permanent, staff of K.N.Z.A. should, when possible, be a member of tho board.
