As the growing season is advancing, those requiring plants should attend the sale of nursery stock which will be held by Messrs. Barraud, York and Co., Lambton Quay, to-day at 1 o'clock. Tho splendid collection which is to bo submitted are those from the well-known Hutt nur-Bc-rics, known ns "Blackbridse," of Mr. W. B. llnrdy, and will lie sold without reserve. Commencing at 1.30 p.m. to-day the sale of 220 valuable pictures on account of the exeeutors of the late Mrs. Ellen Macdonald will take place at Messrs. A. Ij. Wilson's H-oonis, 26 Brandon .Street. A very line catalogue will be ollered, which includes old oil colours, modern water colours, and a collection of sacred ntudies, portraits of eminent dignitaries of the Catholic Church. Visitors to Wellington and others requiring comfortablo board and residence should note the announcement of "Waitangi," Noulcott Street, which is under the new management of Mrs. Cudby. Everything is under the penxmal supervision of the proprietress, aud terms arc moderate.
